CAS(E) this Sketch! Challenge #1

Welcome to our very first challenge!!! We're so HAPPY to FINALLY be able to share our sketches and cards with everyone!
Lisa Arana and I have created sketches and we'll be alternating between them each week. After you take a peek at the fantastic cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration, please read the How to Play rules at the end of this post. We'd LOVE it if you'd share the news of our new challenge with your friends!!!

We're looking forward to seeing your interpretation of this week's sketch! Let the CAS(E)-ing begin!!!

For this first challenge I'll be adding the rules of how to play along. In future challenges I'll just add a link to the How to Play page. If you've never heard of the acronyms CAS or CASE you can find a definition of them on the Definition of CAS and CASE page.

• Create a new, not previously posted CAS card.

• You can submit multiple cards but they must be posted to InLinkz separately.

• Please use the sketch provided. Feel free to change the orientation of the sketch.

• You can combine up to 3 other challenges.

• If you have a blog please include the sketch graphic in your post.

• You can link to a Flickr, Splitcoast or other online gallery if you don't have a blog.

• You must have a working text link to CAS(E) this Sketch! to be eligible for a win.

• Link to your post and not to your entire blog when adding your project to InLinkz.

• Please consider adding the CAS(E) this Sketch! badge to your blog.

• Most importantly have FUN!

In order to make the challenge as fair as possible every player must follow the rules. If your entry does not, it may not be eligible for a win and may be removed from InLinkz line up. Thank you.

Helpful Tips: The sketches are CAS and open to interpretation. For example; your take can be literal, you can use a circle, if there's a circle in the sketch, or incorporate a circular shape such as a flower, button or sun, etc. You can also turn the sketch so it's horizontal. Circular and square cards are also welcome. You're free to use a sentiment or not. Get creative, the sketches are a general guideline. As long as we can see the main elements in their approximate position and it's a CAS card, you're eligible for a win.

Please consider turning off your word verification.

We have a CAS(E) this Sketch Facebook page so you can quickly check on what's going on with our challenge. Please stop by to say hi and LIKE us while you're there!

This is a week long challenge, the InLinkz will close at 12 noon EDT on Tuesday, October 16. We'll announce the winners of the challenge at 9 a.m. EDT on Thursday, October 18. The new challenge will begin an hour later at 10 a.m. EDT.

To play along add your cards to the InLinkz below.

  10. Congrats on the new challenge blog! I'm trying to learn as much as I can about CAS cards so I think I'm gonna love it! This first sketch looks and the sample cards are terrific. I can imagine using this sketch many different ways. QUESTION: I don't have a blog so I have no place to display your blinkie (sketch graphic.) Can I still participate? I will of course add your link to my description when I post my card(s)in my SC gallery. Also, I am not on FB. Will you be updating via this blog feed, as well? Thanks. :)
